If you’re caring for an aged, seriously ill, or disabled family member, you’re not alone. Approximately 66 million Americans care for loved ones with a chronic illness, disability, or frailty. Family caregivers provide an average of 20 hours of care per week and as a caregiver, that can make it hard for you to care for yourself.
As November is National Family Caregiver Month, we are taking this opportunity to reach out to those caregivers who are caring for someone with Medicare to lighten their load. If you’re a caregiver, here are a few ways that you do to help your loved one and ease your role:
- Make sure that your loved one’s Medicare coverage still meets their needs. Attend a SeniorChoices NW Medicare Meeting for all of the useful information and guidance you need!
- Review these tips on ways to save on the cost of healthcare.
- Contact SeniorChoices NW for the coverage that your loved ones need and for the guidance that can save you time and money!
SeniorChoices NW is located in Wilsonville, Oregon, but we serve the surrounding areas and regularly hold meetings for communities on Medicare. Contact us for more information!
